School Uniform

The school uniform identifies the individual as belonging to the whole. It should be worn neatly and correctly and with pride. All items of clothing must be clearly marked with the student's name.

Kindy

Uniform is not compulsory but children may wear the same as for Pre-Primary

Pre-Primary & Year One

  • Blue polo shirt with school logo
  • Maroon shorts
  • Primary Tracksuit
  • All Black shoes (Black Sole Only)
  • White or Grey crew length socks
  • St Mary’s hat (Maroon)
  • All white or blue hair ties/ribbons

Sports Uniform - PP–6

  • Maroon shorts
  • Faction Colour shirt
  • Any colour sports shoes
  • Maroon Hat

Primary - Years 2-6

  • Blue polo shirt with school logo
  • Maroon shorts
  • Primary Tracksuit
  • All Black shoes (Black sole only)
  • White or Grey crew length socks
  • St Mary’s hat (Maroon)
  • All white or blue hair ties/ribbons



Secondary - Years 7-9

  • Maroon polo shirt with school logo
  • Navy shorts
  • Secondary tracksuit
  • All Black shoes (black sole only)
  • White or Grey crew length socks
  • St Mary’s hat (Maroon)
  • SPORT: Faction shirts and navy shorts.

Secondary - Years 11 - 12

Senior Secondary students have a separate navy blue uniform with all black shoes (other than on sports days).

Uniforms

The School hat is compulsory and must be worn at all times when students are outdoors. Students without a hat will be made to sit in the undercroft during recess and lunchtime, or in the shade during physical education or sport.

If students are not in uniform on a regular basis a note will be sent home which is required to be signed and retuned to school. Children will be expected to make the appropriate changes in a timely manner.

Jewellery Hair and Make Up

No necklaces (discreet, approved necklaces with a cross or crucifix accepted), bangles, brooches or rings. Any of these items of jewellery worn to school will be kept safely and returned to your child at the end of the school day. Only one pair of stud earrings or sleepers is permissible, to be worn in the lower lobes only. All other forms of body piercing is NOT acceptable.

Hair should be worn off the face. No hair colours. Shoulder length must be tied back. This applies to both boys and girls.

Make-up and nail varnish is not acceptable. Students will be asked to remove make-up and nail varnish. Nail extensions are also not permitted. Long nails are discouraged at school and must be taped when participating in Physical Education.

St Mary's Uniform Shop

St Mary's Uniform Shop is open Tuesday and Thursday during term from 2.15pm -3.15pm for new and secondhand uniforms. Payment for uniforms is requested on the day of purchase or within 7 days. Payments may be made by cash, cheque or EFTPOS. The shop is located in the storeroom adjacent to the Home Economics/Art Room.
