Welcome to St Mary Star of the Sea, Carnarvon

“In partnership with the home, parish and community we nurture the development of the whole child”

“The Director General of the Department of Education is responsible for ensuring that the school observes the registration standards, including the standard about its complaints handling system. Any student, parent or community member is entitled to contact the Director General with concerns about how the school has dealt with a complaint. Information is available on the Department of Education website. While the Director General may consider whether the school has breached the registration standards, she does not have power to intervene in a complaint or override the school’s decision.”

Final Newsletter for 2022
This will be the final newsletter for 2022. Whilst challenging at times, particularly around some of the school’s staffing issues, we have had much to celebrate over the course of the year.

Building Project
Our building project will be completed over the summer break. When we return next year, the secondary students will have a new landscaped recreation space and basketball court to keep them amused at recess and lunch times.

Confirmation, Communion and ReconciliationY
We celebrated the sacraments of Confirmation, Communion and Reconciliation once again, this year with Fr Steve who will be leaving the parish to finally continue his travels to his next parish, another Star of the Sea, that of Dongara.
