Traditional Forms of Parent Involvement
Again research is informing us of how our indirect actions can affect children’s learning, in this instance, it relates to quality time outside of school hours.
While traditional forms of parent involvement are important (attending school functions, checking homework, rules about how children spend their leisure time), more indirect and warmer kinds of at-home involvement such as parental expectations, parent-child communication, and parenting style, are more important to student achievement.

Year 7 Camp
From today, through till Friday, the Year 7 students will be attending an outdoor education camp in Coral Bay. We wish them and the parents and staff attending all the best for their travels.

Student Absences
It is a parents responsibility to ensure their children attend the school they are enrolled in every day it is open for instruction. If a child cannot attend school due to compelling reasons, such as illness or medical appointments, the school should be notified so attendance registers, which are legal documents, can be completed accurately.
